MP seeks Nelsonians’ views in annual survey

22/10/2015

Nelson MP Nick Smith is asking for residents’ views on the establishment of a local fisheries museum, the level of refugees, taxing goods online and what’s the one thing Nelson needs in his annual newsletter which is being delivered to 27,000 homes in his electorate this week.
``My annual newsletter and survey is a great way to keep in touch with Nelsonian’s views. I value the feedback and encourage people to ensure they have their say. The four questions are topical but some of the most valued responses are from the extra comments people make on issues of most concern to them” Dr Smith says.
The survey and newsletter is being distributed to all households this week and responses are due by 6 November. People can respond via post, online or by dropping the return form off at one of the 10 collection boxes located from Atawhai to Brightwater. Nelsonians who do not receive a copy of the newsletter can contact Dr Smith’s office or view it on his website, www.nick4nelson.co.nz .
``The survey is particularly important as my Ministerial roles mean I have been spending more time out of Nelson. I encourage people to have their say to ensure I keep in touch.’’
